What is the FEM Shot?
The FEM Shot uses PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) around the clitoris and vaginal wall. Patients seek this service to help improve vaginal dryness that causes discomfort during sex and to potentially increase sensitivity. The growth factors & proteins released by the PRP are thought to stimulate cellular repair and regeneration of the vagina.
How does the FEM Shot Work?
The shot works by using “high quality” Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) produced from the patient’s own blood. PRP contains cell regenerating growth factors which, when injected into specific areas of the vagina, can help generate healthy tissue growth.
There is no down time with this office procedure. It is quick and generally takes about 30-45 minutes to complete, including the topical numbing process.
Results can vary depending on the patient, but they generally last between 14 and 18 months.
What is the MAN Shot?
The MAN Shot involves taking platelet-rich plasma (PRP) from your blood and applying it during an in-office procedure to the male genitalia.
This means we take your own cells to promote tissue growth and enhance sexual function.
How does the MAN Shot Work?
PRP involves concentrated platelets rich in bioactive proteins, which release growth factors to stimulate cellular regeneration and accelerate tissue repair. PRP is in the category of regenerative autologous procedures, which means it comes from your own blood.
The benefits of PRP were initially used in wound healing, dentistry, and sports injuries, but now have evolved to address aesthetic concerns and sexual dysfunction (erectile dysfunction and Peyronie’s Disease for men). The growth factors & proteins released by the high concentration of platelets in PRP are thought to stimulate cellular repair and regeneration wherever they are applied in the body.
The MAN Shot procedure should take about 45-60 minutes from start to finish including numbing time.
